Brand v. Holmes Group
U.S. District Court, Southern District of Illinois

Summary Judgment granted on negligence and strict liability claims because warnings given on package regarding the dangerous nature of product were adequate and it was foreseeable that someone may be hurt coming into contact with certain parts of the product. Plaintiff's claim that the product was unreasonably dangerous dismissed on the grounds that an ordinary consumer would presume that a steam humidifier would need to reach very high temperatures in order to work as intended, and product worked as it was designed to do so.
