Mr. Schupp is a managing partner and trial lawyer at Flynn|Gaskins|Bennett LLP He has practiced exclusively as a trial lawyer, concentrating on products liability, commercial litigation, complex insurance coverage and aviation, for over 25 years.
Representative experience of his product liability practice includes service as national trial counsel for a consumer appliance manufacturer. Tim has successfully defended product manufacturers at trial in cases involving catastrophic personal injury, significant property damage and wrongful death. Tim has represented consumer appliance manufacturers, manufacturers of industrial equipment, medical device manufacturers, manufacturers of agricultural products, manufacturers of athletic equipment and HVAC manufacturers. Tim has also counseled clients on issues involving the Consumer Product Safety Commission, including helping clients with product recalls.
Tim’s commercial litigation practice includes claims under the Uniform Commercial Code, non-compete agreements and breach of contract claims. His product liability practice provides a unique perspective to commercial disputes involving product performance and warranty claims.
Schupp’s insurance coverage practice includes both coverage opinions and coverage litigation. He has handled complex cases involving D&O Policies, E&O Policies, Professional Liability Policies and Financial Institution Policies.
Tim’s aviation practice involves the defense of aircraft and component part manufacturers, FBOs, A&P mechanics and pilots in accident cases. Tim is also liability counsel to the public entity that owns and operates the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, and the reliever airports in the seven county Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area.
Tim practiced with Faegre & Benson until 1992, when he joined Gartner & Schupp, P.A. as a founding member and managing partner. In 1999, they were joined by Robert Bennett to form a new trial firm of Gartner, Bennett & Schupp, P.C. In January 2002 Gartner, Bennett & Schupp, P.C. merged with Flynn & Gaskins, L.L.P. to become Flynn|Gaskins|Bennett, LLP.
